Incorrect grinding of cots can have some effects on the covers, but also on the spinning machine and thus on the spinning result.

Instructions for correct grinding
Correct surface roughness
The cot has the correct surface roughness (Ra-value) after grinding
Dressing
The stone should be dressed with a diamond aft er every 1500 top rollers
Cleaning
The stone must be cleaned every 15 minutes, using either compressed air or a soft metal brush
Diameter after grinding
After mounting the new cots have to be buffed all to the same outer diameter.
Cot surface after grinding
The cot surface after grinding is clean and free of grinding dust and grinder cuts.
Time for grinding
Grind as fast as possible and as long as necessary.
Wait until use
The freshly buffed cots should relax for approx. 24h before they will be used.
